Europe is “going back to the 1930s” in a context of xenophobia, populism and hyper-nationalism, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa said, calling for joint action with Africa.
At the first “EurAfrican Forum”, an initiative held at the Estoril Congress Center and organized by the Portuguese Diaspora Council, of which he is honorary president, the Head of State also called the atention to the global situation, stating that a “long, long long-term struggle over who will be the economic center of the world 50 years from now, is taking place.”
